Sometimes you have to do something bad to avoid doing something worse...

What I'm wearing today seems to be an unusual choice. But I can't help it, I love this dress in it's all flowing glory! It's especially great for sunny days like today. All I need now is a fancy victorian hat and I'm ready for afternoon tea at the park.

Dress: CC fashion / shoes: Deichmann / skeleton hand: Glovestar

The dress also reminded me of an interesting movie, since I thought immediately that the main character would probably wear it.

The movie ,,Stoker" is an interesting thriller. Quite usual story - the unknown family member arrives and changes the home residents' lives. But what is truly important, the movie is built on a specific, dark 50' climate with a greyish green and brown palette. The individual frames make beautiful mysterious paintings. Also a lot of symbols appear here, from flashbacks of main character's hunting with father, through playing piano, to spiders and shoes. Everything has it's meaning and, as the story goes forward, slowly reveal psychology of rather ,,weird" and a bit disturbing mind of this girl.

If you are not familiar with the movie yet, I highly recommend seeing it. It's worth at least for the artistic pleasure and chills you can get from discovering the mysteries.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice...

shirt: Leable / leggings: allegro.pl / jacket: Tom Tailor / shoes: Vagabond

I recently got striped leggings. My old ones were all faded and worn-out. I rarely replace old pieces of wardrobe with the same thing, but I don't think my style would survive without some Beetlejuice themed, juicy black-and-white stripes!

I have a big sentiment for Beetlejuice, I've watched it at the age of 12, probably. Along with The Corpse Bride made me develop a huge fascination with Tim Burton movies, which consequently led me to overall spooky interests I have today.

What was the weird thing, I used to be the kind of overly sensitive child who was afraid of everything dark. Maybe the thing that actually attracted me to these kind of movies was the fact they made darkness seem more friendly and funny, so I started to be comfortable with it, it even made me somehow calm. Anyone had similar experience?

I can tell you, you are not evil.

It's autumn already. Can't believe how fast time flies.
I am enjoying my free before-university time now. It means playing games, watching films and drawing, of course. I've created 2 new pieces and I'm working on the third one. All of them are in victorian climate. It'll be my little collection soon~

Can't wait to finish this lady and hang her on the wall.

I've also watched a few films, weirdly only Disney.
Enchanted, Sleeping Beauty and Descendants. I'm going to say a little more about the last one since I don't really watch Disney Channel original movies. They are usually pretty boring to me. But this one was good.

What's this film about? It's the story of children of the worst villains, who was sent to unescapeable island. The son of Beauty and The Beast, soon to be king, decided to give them a chance. He invited kids to a royal academy.

I liked Mal most. She was a nice combination of mean rebel and secretly sensitive girl. I also liked how her realation with mother was shown. Maleficent was just perfect anyway as a completely evil woman!

I also enjoyed the rest of characters, especially Evil queen. The idea of her soon getting old, desperately trying to stay ,,The fairest of them all" was great.

Do you like Disney? How do you feel about Descendants?
