Christmas is here...

Now when I am at my home again I can rest with a cup of tea - tired and happy after celebrating Christmas with my family.
Holidays for me started already at friday, when I celebrated it with my closest family in my house. Then 2 days I spent in another town at my granparents' place, and today I had a dinner with my fiance's family.
The photos are from grandparents' home. I hope I could catch some of the warm and cosy atmosphere on those few photos. I like this traditionalism in decoration, it brings out memories of my childhood. I am still in festive mood even if there was no snow this year. I'd like to show you a song I was listening to a lot, which I think is perfect for this time of a year :)

I wish you all merry Christmas / Holidays or whatever else you are celebrating!

,,Don't be sorry. He deserved it."

Hi! I was going to post earlier this week, but time flies fast and a few days passed in a blink of my eye. My mind is getting busy anyway thinking about Christmas presents. Seems like this year I am fulfilling  my tradition of buiyng gifts last-minute.
Yesterday I went to Alterfair, hoping I could buy something for someone. I found a little thing that I think one person would like, and also a small thing for myself, so I am fairly satisfied. Later I went to east sushi with my fiance. We also continued watching the series we started together last time, How to get away with murder. This show keeps us in suspence and I recommend watching it. I am curious for seasons 2 and 3.

Yesterday's outfit included thrifted h&m lace dress I love and new overknee boots from Allegro.pl. I was in need of some casual footwear which would also keep my calves warm. These ones are nice and also have a cute lace-up detail on back.

Time does not return

I'm showing you my outfit of today. Seems like it's one of most worn last time. I just found this skirt last month and I really enjoy the color and texture. It seems it's the only skirt I have that is not black. For me velvet resembles of historical robes, especially renaissance. Too bad people don't wear these kind of clothing today. I'd love at least attending a real ball once so I could put on long gown.

The skirt is from Republic, necklace from Wyczarovane.pl, boots from Bronx.

Today I am in suprisingly good mood which made me excited for lecture about graphic design. I'm looking forward for tomorrow though when I finally end the first season of a series I'm currently watching.

Locked up in metal bones

Last week was very exhausting for me due to school duties. Yesterday I completed movie poster for one of classes and seems that now I can slow down a little. Especially that waking up today to the falling snow reminded me of upcoming winter, what means: Christmas. It always makes me feel like a child again, seeing these beautiful illuminated trees and smelling these scents of burning candles, oranges and fresh snow. I think there is some magic in these holidays like no others have.
What made me happy last time that I ordered a corset last week and it already arrived to me. It's a classic matte black underbust from Papercats. It's a big deal since I've always loved corsets, but I only had the soft ones with plastic boning so far and this time it's a real steel one. I was lucky to get it for a half price of a brand that's already not expensive. Today I dediced to give it a try and wore it all day and, to my suprise, it's quite comfortable. I ordered an XS size and I was worried it would be too tight, but it's just right. And it gives the figure a nice hourglass shape with defined waist. I will surely wear it a lot. If I had to rate it, I would give it a 5/5.

 Today's outfit: t-shirt: Sophie / skirt: atmosphere / boots: Jennifer&Jennifer / corset: Papercats/ ring: a gift

What do you think about corsets?

Le Cirque

Today's outfit is combination of newly thrited skirt that's very comfortable and a blouse I've been into lately. The black and white stripes, black lace and red details remind me a bit of circus aesthetics which I'm liking a lot.

The previous week was very busy. I had a few mid-term works to do and new comissions. Also tomorrow is my first test from japanese. I'm very happy I can learn a new language, especially this one is unlike ony other I've learned before, with very different cultural origin and writing system. I have always been interested in learning foreign languages, so I plan to learn many more. I hope I can go to Japan someday to use the knowledge in practice.

Day Of All Saints

On 1.11 I went to cemetery to light the candles for the deceased from my family, according to tradition. The place always looks so colorful during this time, and autumn leaves also add some atmosphere. It was very empty here this time due to heavy rain and cold, I also only stayed for a short moment. Because of this I didn't go to the oldest and biggest cemetery in my town as I planned. I am always in awe to see old forgotten graves, crooked stone crosses. There is some mystery in it.

I took some photos on that day which I hope you like.

In this town of Halloween

For this day, I went with my love to the cafe. The place was very cool, with spiderwebs everywhere, Jack Skellington statue at the bar and staff in costumes. I also likes the music playing, mainly from films, and I even heard The Cure's Lullaby. We haven't spent too much time here, only enough to order a drink, play a board game and take part in Tim Burton quiz. Too bad I didn't win the quiz, I guess I didn't watch some of the films carefully enough!

I went as spider queen and my love was my undead servant :D

Only 365 days left until the next Halloween!

Melancholy spirit

The autumn melancholy is starting to pick me up it seems. I lack the energy and I was falling asleep in today's class. The work is building up already and I feel bad that I can't push myself to work as hard as I should... But at least the artwork themes are mostly fun and I enjoy seeing my progress in using computer programs. I always like to have evidence of a job done, doing something in repeat frustrates me.

On the other topic, I am wearing today my new tunic/ dress. I bought it in low price and it got me immediately. It's made of very soft, stretching material, and the asymmetrical hemline adds interesting shape to the whole outfit. I think it would look good also with leggings.

Tunic is from New Look and garter is handmade.

The garter I made myself. I am really into this kind of accessories right now.

Love and tights

Today was quite sleepy. The rainy weather in this week overwhelmed me a bit and took my energy. But days are getting shorter and shorter, so I guess I have to get used to that.
Besides, I have a trip booked with my friends in two weeks and another concert to see this autumn. I'm pretty excited and I can't wait to reunite with my tribe and meet new people.

Last time I got a lot of different kinds of tights. I am in love with these ones! Unfortunately my skirt was too long to reveal those hearts, so I show it at least on the photo here :) Sorry it's so grainy.

Got to go sketching for school now, see you!

Witcher

Another day in a new university. So far three days passed and I looks like it met my expectations. I hope I can find my place here so I can soon start to think about getting a job in my industry. Today I had first drawing and english lessons. That's a pity I can't choose one more language yet! I'd love to learn japanese, and improve my poor and forgotten german...

I got the Witcher 3 game in my hands lately. My fiance borrowed it to me. I really wanted to play it as I have heard many positive reviews. Actually, I have never really played RPG games, but it were the books that got me into the story here. I have read two of them so far and I plan to read all, after ending the seven-hundred paged monster I read now (and there is a second part...)

"Witchers are known to carry two blades. A silver blade for monsters and steel for humans."
"Both are for monsters."

Secret garden

I've just came back to home after this day. I spent some time with my grandparents in their garden. They grow plants here, among others: grapes, apple trees, many kinds of flowers, and so far I know they plan to seed a cherry tree. Today they were picking grapes so I had some to taste, and it's sweet as a honey! Good to have a chance to grow plants in the city. I would gladly grow some, too, maybe on the balcony at least, but I can't cope with plants well. Once I managed to dry out the cactus...

I may not eat this apple, cause as we know from a famous story, eating apples unguarded may not end up well!

Today's outfit: blouse: thrifted (New Look) / skirt: thrifted (H&M) / shoes: Vagabond / earrings: diy
I had to wear a coat though, you can definetely feel the autumn is here!

I have some very pleasant plans for the next two days before the school starts! And you? Any plans for the weekend?
