Art of Horror

Have you ever heard about Zdzisław Beksiński? I have, a lot. I remember already from my childhood he was mentioned to be one of the greatest Polish modern artists. In October I heard about the new exibition about his paitings opened in Cracow. I managed to go there with friends. After waiting over an hour in a queue, we finally get there. Small place. Black walls. What I saw was one of the most amazing things. The works was displayed on glowing screens, making all the colors pop. This way one could see a whole spectrum of artists' skill. In the end I bought the album to take this experience to home :)

If you ever happen to be close to Cracow, go see this exibition. Don't think twice. You'll not be dissappointed.

Anyway, today I went to another exibition dedicated to Beksiński's creations, This time in Warsaw. It was a free session of Virtual Reality when you literally step into his paintings. It was a fascinating thing, it felt a bit like a strange realistic dream.
I present you some of the works in a book, but I assure you it doesn't do the justice to them.

What haunts my mind...

I wanted to show you my latest interests and inspirations. There are actually many, here are a few of them:

💗 Alice Madness Returns

I wanted to play this game for so long. And finally, when I last time cheked it up, it was on a sale for only 2.50 €, so I couldn't resist! It has quickly won my everything-Alice-loving heart. The combination of fairytale landscapes, fun mini-games and killing unholy spawns of abyss is something I'm fond of. Though I was suprised how dark this game is, comparing any other vision of wonderland I've seen seems like a child's playground. I'm currently in about a half of a story and can't wait too see how it ends!

💗 Nyx Cosmetics

Last time the first Nyx salon in my town opened so I came to see it. There were many beautiful lipsticks. The shade Copenhagen was especially tempting, so I gave it a try. I was worried about the liquid formula, as I've never used it yet, but with lip liner applying it is't that hard. What is fun, it can look different if you put another coat of product - on the photo I have just one so it's not that dark. To the most important point: lipstick lasts very long once it's dried. And also, the smell is wonderful.

💗  Nick Cave

Okay, it's not that recent, but I re-discovered his music. What else can I say, I just love the feeling of his songs. Mr. Cave's soothing voice was my companion on many, many evenings. Here are my personal favorites:

Quinquennium

I've celebrated anniversary with my fiance yesterday. We had a walk in the city centre together and then spent evening in home. Fortunately, the weather was kind enough to let me wear something elegant on that occasion. My makeup was in red to suit the romantic mood.

Dress: from Italy / bolero: Feierli / key necklace: Marufaktura

Halloween Fun

Today I thought it was a great occasion to dress up and go to my favourite cafeteria with my boyfriend. We had a lot of fun together! We also saw a few dressed up people too, even the cafe owner had skull makeup and also black leggings with skulls. That was really nice.

This is my attempt for Sugar Skull makeup. I think it came out nice, considering the fact I did something like this for a first time and only with drugstore cosmetics (excluding the white base).

I also did makeup for my boyfriend. It was a more realistic skull, so it matched mine!

Just a regular day, eating eyeballs as usual.

All the photos without my boyfriend are took by him and edited by me.

Hope you have a great day. I wish you the most spooky and fun Halloween!

Winter Blossom

I was about to write a note yesterday, but my memory card went crazy and I couldn't transfer photos to computer. Well. Everybody is still talking about 14th of February. I spent it with my boyfriend, of course. We stayed in home and watched Only Lovers Left Alive. It was a lovely day.
Few days later I got a nice gift: my package from Bodyline arrived. I was so excited that I had to try my new skirt and I ended up going out in it.

Winged eyeliner on red eyeshadow today.

Choker: DIY
T-shirt: Blend She
Skirt: Bodyline
Boots: Dr. Martens vonda

The skirt is from cotton mixed with artificial material and a lot of lace. It also includes a strap wih metal elements. It's very comfortable. But... I ordered M size and I wear S and I think It would be a little too tight for actual M.

I think the skirt looks even better in reality than on site photo.

The lace makes spider web pattern and It's really pretty.

I have worn my favourite pair of Marten boots. They always gain a lot of positive attention.
Have a nice day

Soft Red Everyday Makeup Tutorial

This is one of my few everyday looks. I hope you will find this helpful & inspirational for your looks. Keep in my mind I'm not makeup artist. I just do these things in a way that I like. Enjoy.

Start with washed face. Firstly apply base/ concealer on your eyelids.

Then apply red eyeshadow on upper and lower eyelid (if you have eyes close to each other like me, apply lower shadow only to the half.

Apply black eyeshadow on upper eyelid above the crease.

Then blend it with cosmetic brush.

Clean the brush a little and blend lower shadow as well.

 Add mascara.

Now we do the lips. Start with moisturising balm.

Apply red lipstick. Don't mind too much if it's not even.

Apply black eyeshadow on the corners. It looks a little weird now, but we will fix it.

Now blend everything with brush carefully.

If it still looks messy, you may add another layer of lipstick and black eyeshadow to blank places.

 Final result.

How do you like it? Write me if you have some tips or questions. I may do some other tutorials in the future so keep in touch.

Breeze

Today's rain and wind combined make unpleasing weather... But I'm still happy because I found my motivation to do things i should do. Also my creative vein seems coming back. How will I find time to draw everything I have in my mind?? I hope that the time around Christmas will be less filled with work so I can drown in my room and create.

This dress is cute, I don't know why I wear it so rarely...

It's hard to catch my makeup but it's violet (Inglot) with some pink (Essence) and white (Bourjois). Also Nivea fruit shine: guava lipstick (it smells really nice)
Notice key and padlock earrings. I got them from my boyfriend <3

Thanks to Catacombxkitten I discovered new band. I've fallen in love. This and Animal Impulses are my favourite songs yet, but I chose this one because I've already spammed everywhere with the other one. Enjoy~
